On October 13th, The marathon organizing committee announced that the Changsha Marathon 2021 will meet with runners again on November 13th. Runner registration already began at 17:20 on October 13th. Runners can register via the marathon's official website or WeChat mini program.
The race of this year will kick off at 7:30 on November 13th. It includes three events: the Marathon (42.195 km), Half-Marathon (21.0975 km) and the Happy Run (5 km), with a quota of 8,000, 12,000, and 4,000 participants respectively.
The pre-registration period is from 17:20 on October 13th to 17:00 on October 17th. The results of the draw will be announced at 17:00 on October 21. The registration fee should be paid from 17:00 on October 21 to 17:00 on October 24.
Two categories of runners will be exempt from the draw and are immediately qualified to participate in the marathon as long as they pay the registration fee within the specified time. They are runners who participated in and finished the marathon or half-marathon of the Changsha Marathon in any three years from 2015 to 2019 and ones who participated in the “Class A1” events certified by the Chinese Athletics Association and their results met the requirements from January 1, 2019 to August 10, 2021 (inclusive).
The Changsha Marathon 2021 is sponsored by the Hunan Sports Bureau and the Changsha Municipal People's Government; It is also undertaken by the Hunan Athletics Association, the Changsha Sports Bureau, and the Changsha Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd.
